Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. I can’t believe there is only 2 weeks until Christmas. Where has the time gone? I think I have all my Christmas shopping wrapped up….thank goodness! Now I just need to focus on activities that will keep my kids busy during their Christmas break in a week. I plan on decorating cookies, building a gingerbread house, reading new books and some other activities. It’s so hard to keep the entertained without being in front of their iPads. Does anyone else struggle with this? I been trying to create breaks in all the Christmas cheer and orders to create new art. I created this cute little gem the other night and am really pleased with how it turned out. I drew it using Procreate and have been trying to practice lettering digitally. I can’t wait to see it on products in my shops. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! Redbubble just launched face masks to their site. Which means you can now have wearable art of mine for your face. The masks have two layers of washable 100% brushed woven polyester. The print is on the outer layer. They have over-ear elastic straps for a snug fit over mouth and nose. Masks come in one size and fit most adults. They are $12.50 or $10 if you buy 4 or more.
For every mask sold, Redbubble will be donating a mask to Heart to Heart International. Heart to Heart International works with volunteers, partners, and donors to make healthcare more accessible. They have launched international, domestic, and local responses to COVID-19.
If you or someone you know is looking for some please visit my Redbubble shop!
Happy Monday everyone! Here is doodle sketch I have been working on. I drew it and colored it in digitally using the program Procreate. I first started out drawing an outline of a heart and then just began filling it it in with little doodles of flowers and birds. Then I used the gouache brush and painted in the soft colors in a layer behind the doodle layer. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.
Hello lovelies! Here is a new creative process video of a piece I did this past week. This pretty peacock was inspired by one of my friends that has had a peacock come and visit her yard in the past couple of weeks. She has posted pictures on Facebook and I knew that I needed to draw one. They are so beautiful and majestic with their feathers displayed. I used the program Procreate to drawn and color him in. Keep an eye out, he will be up in my shops soon! Also, just a reminder my Etsy shop is 20% til the end of the week!
I hope this Monday morning is treating everyone well. The weather here in Kansas City has been definitely crazy for it being the month of April. I feel that if I keep creating more Spring art pieces, the sooner it will start feeling like it. But this weather is just not cooperating. Please Mother Nature let the warm sun come out soon! This piece was made using Procreate on my IPad Pro using an Apple Pencil. From start to finish, it was created digitally while watching my kids favorite movie Ghost Busters for the millionth time. (I love it too!) Atleast something productive came from it. You can now shop this design at my Society6 shop at https://society6.com/ruthmillercreative. Have a happy Monday!
#tbt So this Thursday’s treat is another excerpt from my alphabet book I made for my senior thesis. So while digging and researching for animals for each letter of the alphabet, X was the hardest to find anything for. This lovely bird is called a Xenops, it’s one of the only animals that start with the letter X. They are very small birds with a long feathered tail. They mostly live in Mexico, Central and South America. They belong to the oven bird family. They love to eat insects, ants and flowers. I hope you enjoyed your animal lesson for the day! Sketch made with watercolor.
