Bold, Yellow Sunflowers

Hi everyone! All the sunflowers are blooming in the Kansas City area. There are a few farmers that grow fields of just sunflowers for people to come, admire and take pictures in. It’s definitely a favorite past time of Kansas City. I have already done a piece with sunflowers, but it was fun to revisit them and create a fun piece of art. These sunflowers are definitely bold and vibrant. I love the vibes that it is giving. If you love sunflowers as much as I do, I have just put them on products in my Society6 and Redbubble shops. Enjoy!

100 Years Loved

Hey everyone! I know, it’s been a while since I have posted anything new. It has been a crazy summer of swimming, playing, traveling, seeing friends and family. One of our trips this past summer was to La Crosse, Wisconsin to celebrate my husband’s grandma’s 99 1/2 birthday. Her 100th birthday will be this January, but we wanted everyone to be able to celebrate with her over the summer at her half birthday. It was such a beautiful day with family and friends. I was asked to design the save the date and invitation. I knew I wanted it to be all about her and very colorful. She still has a lot of spunk and is such a wonderful a lady. So I drew many colorful flowers to frame a beautiful picture of her and paired it with the phrase 100 years loved I found on the internet. I felt that it fit her perfectly! I hope you enjoy this as much I as I did creating it.

Bunny Easter Egg

Hey everyone! Spring is definitely in the air and Easter is just one day away. My boys are super excited about having an egg hunt tomorrow. Some of my favorite memories are dying eggs and racing my brother to find them in our yard. Around the area of Kansas City where we live it’s heavily populated with bunnies. So we get to see them all year around. What’s better than cute bunnies? How about cute bunnies and flowers creating the shape of an Easter egg. I made a heart with some flowers and doves in it and really liked the effect of it and so I applied that style to this piece. I like the simple graphic quality of this style. It is all drawn out and colored in digitally. I will definitely have to do some experimenting with different mediums with this print. Enjoy!
