Hey everyone! 2 days until Easter! Here is a cute portrait of the Easter Bunny that I created this week. I drew it in Procreate while I had some downtime. I wanted to create a little portrait in a gold frame of Ms. Easter Bunny with some moody wall paper in the background. This piece is definitely a little moody with whole ton of cuteness. Today is a special day! It is my youngest son’s 6th birthday. I can’t believe he’s 6! He is in Kindergarten and has grown so much this past year. It’s crazy to think I have been not working (except freelance) for 6 years now. How is this possible! Well my youngest son is obsessed with animals, parties, donuts and anything video game related. I wanted to make a cute party croc in honor of his birthday. I created this fun crocodile in Procreate and really love how he turned out. Happy Birthday Goober!
Hi everyone! It’s been a little crazy at our house the past week. After all the chaos going on in our nation and having to be under quarantine, I needed to see something colorful. I started doodling and ended up creating this cool geometric color wheel. It looks like a rainbow prism. It’s so bright and cheerful. Plus, it includes all my favorite colors. I was asked to draw a cute pig with a sunflower crown so they could put it on a cute cup for a lover of pigs. It was so much fun to draw and I love the end result. Hey everyone! There is only 2 days until Christmas! Wow…where has the time gone! The holidays are definitely different this year without seeing loved ones and carrying out family traditions. We have managed to try to keep some traditions alive this season. We are making ginger bread houses, baking and decorating cookies. It’s always fun seeing the boys in decorating cookies each year and how cool their cookies turn out. Definitely my favorite past time. Here is a quick little doodle that I did this past week while being in the Christmas spirit. I did the lettering in Procreate. The best part about doing digital lettering is being able to fix my mistakes. I hope everyone is staying happy and healthy in these strange times. Enjoy!
Hey everyone! Here is a quick little doodle that I created over the past weekend. You can definitely tell that I have leaves on the brain! It has felt like a never ending battle these past few weeks of picking up leaves. This is weekend #3 of cleaning up our yard. I’m hoping it will be the last since most of the trees around us are pretty bare now. I love fall, but this is probably one of my least favorite things to do. Anyone feel the same way? I’m sure I’m not the only one. Other than that, I feel this doodle totally captures the mood and colors of fall. I just put this doodle leaf pattern on my shops on prints and products.

Hey everyone! What is the first thing you think of when fall arrives? Pumpkin spice everything, of course! That is one of the things that I look forward during Fall. I’m not a huge coffee drinker but I do love pumpkin flavored desserts. Every Thanksgiving, I make a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting. I look forward to it every year! Even my brother, the pastry chef, requests me to make it. So I thought I would celebrate this wonderful flavor season with a drawing. I wanted to keep it pretty simple and classic. I think this would look great as wall art and home decor. I will definitely have to add it to my shops!
Happy Wednesday! I have made it mid week of my sons first week back to all in school. Let me tell you it has been the best week of my life since March. I’m happy, my boys are happy to be back and it feels great to have an inch of normalcy back. I have been able to get so much done in the past couple of days. I saw a local boutique by me post an image of the words “Free Spirit” and knew I wanted to make a drawing out of it. I have definitely felt like a spirit the past couple of days and finally feel like me again. Free spirit is hand lettered and I drew the flowered background in Procreate. I wanted the flowers to feel Mum inspired since they are every where during the fall. I’m not going to lie, I buy quite a few pots of them every fall. I love them! I just uploaded this to my Society6 and Redbubble shops on prints and cool products.

Guess what everyone…..It’s officially Fall! No more wishing it was finally here. I’m ready to eat and drink everything apple and pumpkin related. Plus, I’m anxiously awaiting some cooler temps so I can wear my boots and sweaters. This weekend it will be in the 80’s in KC. Hopefully after this weekend we can finally get rid of these summer temps and just enjoy some cool, crisp weather. I think my new pup Izzy is looking forward to the cooler temps also. She is always hot and likes to lay on our air conditioner vents. So we are looking forward to some fall walks. Here is a piece that I drew digitally in my Procreate app. I wanted to make a silhouette of a leaf to house the phrase “Hello Autumn”. Plus, I included some doodles of fall related items to fill in the voids. I love the end result! Enjoy!
