Fall is my Favorite

It’s finally the weekend! It’s been a busy week for us with yard work, meetings, practices and games. We are so ready for fall. It’s my household’s favorite season. But mother nature has other plans right now and it still feels like 100 degrees outside. We can’t wait for the cooler weather. I created this during the past week because fall is officially in my mind set. This sweet badger was created digitally on my iPad. Enjoy!

S is for Sheep

#tbt Here is today’s edition of Throwback Thursday! Here is a watercolor painting that I did for a collection of animals I did for an alphabet book. This is probably one of my favorite pieces from the book because I absolutely adore sheep. They are so cute, fluffy and they just plain look cool. If I had to choose an animal to be, it would definitely be this guy. I hope everyone has had a great week so far and fingers crossed it will stop raining here in Kansas City.

Sweet Sleeping Fox

We have made it to the middle of the week! Congrats everyone! The past couple days here in the Kansas City area the temperature has dropped finally. The mornings are dipping into the 60’s and it feels like just a hint of fall. You bet I’m wearing long sleeves and thinking about fall scents. I’m so ready for fall. It’s my favorite season of the year. Here is a sketch I did recently that I had fall on the brain, but still managed to make it look like summer. This cute sleeping fox is the perfect segway between seasons until I can enjoy fall.

Cotton Candy

Hey everyone! We all know what day it is….it’s Monday! Hopefully it’s a kind one today. Here is a design I did recently that was inspired by all the fairs and carnivals that are happening around town. Whenever we go, I usually cannot resist getting cotton candy. It’s so fluffy and fun to eat. And bonus, it’s basically pure sugar! I saw this phrase online and knew I had to incorporate it into this piece. It’s true….how can you not be happy eating this awesome stuff? I will have this design up on my shops later today!

Rainbow Turtle

Hey everyone! It’s finally the beginning of a new week. Time to start fresh…here’s to hoping it’s a good one! Here’s a cute little turtle that I drew this past weekend. He was starting to look a little drab at first, so I decided to spruce up his shell. I think the rainbow colors definitely helped this little guy out. I used the program Procreate from start to finish creating him. I hope he brightens your day!

Under the Sea

It’s finally the weekend! Everyone celebrate! A lot of stuff is going on in our house this weekend to get ready for July 4th. But it is also very hot here in the midwest, so we have been spending a lot of our free time in the pool in our backyard. It has been the best investment we have made this summer! So this piece only seems fitting! These cute sea life were drawn and colored in digitally using Procreate. I’m hoping to have this up on my shops soon! How cute would this be on a beach towel!

Sweet Garden Snail

I shared a sneak peek of this snail earlier in the week during the drawing stages of creating it. Here is the finished product of this sweet snail. I created it digitally on Procreate and also made a pattern out of it to use on some product on my Society6 shop. I love how playful it turned out. This cute snail is now up on product in my shop. I is for Iguana

Happy throw back Thursday #tbt everyone! This playful iguana is a watercolor painting from my alphabet book. I love how the watercolors made really cool markings on his body. When we were in Key West many years a go, we were able to see huge iguanas just roaming the streets. They were really cool to just see out in the open since many iguanas and lizards tend to hide. If you ever get a chance to go to the Keys, I highly recommend it! Below is the painting and a pic of a large iguana from Key West.
