Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted new stuff in a while. I have kinda been in a creative rut and life has just been a little busy. I was able to have a little down time recently and created this cute Valentine art. I created it digitally using Procreate and I love how it turned out. Hopefully, this will be the start out of my creative rut and the ideas will start flowing out of me. I hope everyone has a great week!
Hey everyone! This month of January feels like it is dragging it’s feet. Why does this month always feel like this? I had such a great response from my Christmas ornaments, I thought that I would put out a couple of sets of Valentine’s Day ornaments. They would be great to put on a tree (if it’s still up), hang up with decor or even put on a gift. They are sold in sets of 3 in my Etsy shop. The first set is white, pink and red. They have the sayings “Be Mine”, “XO” and “Love”. The second set is white, red and rose gold. They have a heart motif, “You & Me” and “Always” on them. Hey everyone! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. How can it be almost February? I was asked to make some cards for Valentine’s Day cards recently for some adorable little girls to give out to relatives and neighbors. The only request is they wanted a cute dog on it. Since I love dogs, this was right up my wheel house. I had so much fun sketching and creating this adorable Valentine’s Day pup for them. I hope their recipients love him too! I drew and colored him in using Procreate. Even though I created him for a client, I have added him to my Society6 and Redbubble shops. He is available on prints, masks, phone cases and home decor.

I can’t believe Valentines Day is just next week. How is that possible? I’ve been trying to come up with some new designs this year for love day. This is one that I created just for the occasion. It’s definitely more like a doodle. My doodles tend to look like tattoo drawings. That is how all my sketchbook pages looked like in high school. I still really like that style of drawing. I drew this out digitally using my apple pencil and the Procreate app. Technology has definitely come a long way since my high school sketch book days….I love it! Enjoy!
It’s been an absolute crazy week in Kansas City this week! The Chiefs won the Super Bowl and the whole town is painted in Red. My kids have Wednesday off from school for a red snow day to help celebrate the Chiefs victory. The whole metro is pretty much shutting down to celebrate! I created this KC heart logo to cheer on the Chiefs and now it’s crazy because they actually won. I got a lot of interest in it and put the design in my shops. Here is another cute piece that I created this past week. I have always had a soft spot for Yetis ever since I saw Bumble in the Rudolph tv special growing up. I know it’s weird, since he was the monster trying to capture Rudolph and his friends. But I always thought he was pretty cool after he got that out of his system and was nice to everyone. This piece features a yeti holding a heart just in time for Valentines Day. I drew this out digitally using Procreate. Hey everyone! The weather here in Kansas City has been a little nutty lately. 50 degrees one day then a snow day the next. I just can’t keep up with it. It’s showing snow here in the forecast the next 3 days. This mama is praying we don’t have any more snow days. Fingers crossed…lol! I drew this sweet little piece a couple of days ago using the Procreate. I wanted to create more Valentines Day art and keep practicing lettering. I wanted to keep this simple to let the lettering stand out, but I did add little extra pizzaz in the background. Hopefully this brings a smile to your face if you are having dreary weather today! Here is one of the latest projects that I was commissioned to work on for a 4th birthday party. The theme is girly playground. I decided to add some cute elements like hearts, rainbows and cute clouds. All the clipart elements were drawn digitally and then put together in Photoshop with text. Below is the invitation, thank you cards and bubble party favor tags that I made to match for this cute party. This invite design is available in my Etsy shop as a digital file. Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was hot here in KC over the past couple of days. Just plain hot! I drew this cool cat while my boys were swimming away in the pool. I sketched her out and colored her in using the program Procreate. I really liked the way it was headed but it needed something else. I usually hide my sketch layer, but decided to turn it on over the what I had colored in already. It was exactly what this piece needed. I love the result! This cool cat will make it on to my shops soon! Be on the look out!
