Happy Halloweenie

Hey everyone! I can’t believe Halloween is just a couple of days away. October has flown by so fast! Has it felt that way for anyone else? I saw on my Facebook page a couple of weeks ago the cutest Halloween yard inflatable that featured a cute dachschund and knew that I wanted to create a cute illustration featuring one too. I loved the play on words that they used for “Happy Halloweenie”. So I incorporated that into the illustration. I used Procreate to draw out this cute guy and for the lettering. I really love how it turned out!

Halloween Pumpkin Bouquet

Hey everyone! I can’t believe Halloween is approaching so quickly. It feels like the October just started. To get into the spirit, I sketched out this cute drawing one morning. I decided to use watercolor to paint it in, since that is my favorite painting medium. I really like the depth of colors it gives yet always gives a unique feel to every painting. Let the countdown begin! 3 weeks until Halloween!

I’ll Put a Spell Witch Hat

It’s Hocus Pocus season! I had to create something to go along with one of my favorite movies. I loved watching it when I was a little girl and still love watching it every year. I wanted to continue lettering, so I made sure to practice using my own handwriting for the phrase. I tried to keep the hat and the overall picture simple so the lettering would shine. I like how it turned out, but I will definitely keep working on my hand lettering. Enjoy!

Space Birthday Invite

Hey everyone! Here is another project that I have been working on. I was commissioned by a friend to create a space themed birthday party invite for her adorable son. I drew out all the art elements on my iPad in Procreate and then arranged them all together with text in Photoshop. I kept the background a pretty simple black since I knew it was going to have a lot going on. This invite is perfect for any space lover! I have this invite up in my Etsy shop to purchase a digital file. Here is the link:

Purple Jellyfish

Soooo….am I the only one over this years winter yet? We have yet another snow day today! This has been the most snow days in one year in my entire existence in Kansas City. I’m ready for it to be spring! I want to see the sun, the grass (even though it’s brown) and beginnings of flowers growing. But until then, I will just keep posting cute and non cold related artwork…lol! Here is a cute jelly fish I created yesterday while my youngest was in preschool. It was drawn digitally using Procreate. I like how cute it turned out, but still feels moody. Do you think this guy is adorable, too? He’s available as an art print that is a digital download in my Etsy shop and on an array of products in my Society6 shop. Just use the links above on the menu. Have a great day! Enjoy!

Twinkle, Twinkle

Happy Saturday! It’s been an interesting past week with Valentines Day and all this crazy winter weather. I don’t think my kids have been at school for a whole week since January. I’m so ready for this winter weather to go away. This is the winter Game of Thrones has been warning us about for 6 seasons…lol! Here is a project that I have been working on this week. It’s a watercolor painting with added pen detail for the lettering. I used my silhouette machine to make a stencil for the letters and painted the stars around it. Afterwards I filled in the voided space with a pen to make the letters pop. If you need a custom painting or piece made, s

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a great holiday season! Thanks for the all the love and following my art.

Happy Boo-thday!

It’s a pretty exciting day here in our household! It’s my oldest son Liam’s 7th Birthday! It’s pretty crazy how 7 years has just flown by. It’s funny how that happens. I wanted to make a drawing just to celebrate him today. Since his birthday is always a week away from Halloween, I thought a cool ghost would fit the bill. I drew this guy with pen and Prismacolor markers in my sketchbook that travels along with me most days. Happy Birthday Liam! We love you!

Stay Spooky

Is the weekend over already? I feel like it flew by really fast. It was a pretty busy weekend for us with family in town, my oldest son’s birthday party and errands. Monday always seems to come too fast. I’m trying to build up some Halloween art in my portfolio, so you will be seeing a lot of it until Halloween comes along. Here is one I did recently. It was a pretty fast sketch during some downtime, but I still like how cute it turned out. This one was made digitally on my iPad. Stay spooky everyone! Enjoy!

Cute Halloween Witch

Hey everyone! It’s the weekend and it has been full of planning for birthday and halloween parties. It’s amazing how many things you have to take into consideration, especially the weather. We have had, what it feels like, a week and a half of rain here in Kansas City. They even mentioned the dreaded word….Snow…. possibly overnight tonight. Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen. Here is a cute witch that made this week. I had a special request to make her because they wanted a cute witch mug. It looks so cute! Here are a couple of sales going on in my shop today…just in case you were wanting a mug too!
