Christmas Izzy

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! This is our first year with our new puppy, Izzy. It’s been a fun chaotic holiday season so far! It definitely feels like having a toddler in the house again. She loves to nibble on the tree, play with Christmas toys and find crumbs of cookies on the floor. But I wouldn’t have it any other way! I love having a dog in our house. I think there will always be! I drew this little illustration of Izzy when I had some down time. I think it captures her little puppy spirit during this Christmas time. Enjoy!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Hey everyone! There is only 2 days until Christmas! Wow…where has the time gone! The holidays are definitely different this year without seeing loved ones and carrying out family traditions. We have managed to try to keep some traditions alive this season. We are making ginger bread houses, baking and decorating cookies. It’s always fun seeing the boys in decorating cookies each year and how cool their cookies turn out. Definitely my favorite past time. Here is a quick little doodle that I did this past week while being in the Christmas spirit. I did the lettering in Procreate. The best part about doing digital lettering is being able to fix my mistakes. I hope everyone is staying happy and healthy in these strange times. Enjoy!

Peace On Earth Dove

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. I can’t believe there is only 2 weeks until Christmas. Where has the time gone? I think I have all my Christmas shopping wrapped up….thank goodness! Now I just need to focus on activities that will keep my kids busy during their Christmas break in a week. I plan on decorating cookies, building a gingerbread house, reading new books and some other activities. It’s so hard to keep the entertained without being in front of their iPads. Does anyone else struggle with this? I been trying to create breaks in all the Christmas cheer and orders to create new art. I created this cute little gem the other night and am really pleased with how it turned out. I drew it using Procreate and have been trying to practice lettering digitally.  I can’t wait to see it on products in my shops. Enjoy!

My Boys and Pup Digital Portrait Illustration

I tried my hand at doing a digitally drawn portrait of my sons. I love the outcome so much that I’m offering these for sale. If you would like a digital portrait illustration, they will be available to order in my Etsy shop. They would make a great personalized Christmas present! Here are some details:

1. Portraits are $30 for 1-2 people and increase $10 for each additional person. If you would like a pet included, please count the pet as an additional “person”.

2. Portraits are illustrated based on the photo you supply me. They will be drawn in the position and outfits shown in the picture. The higher quality the photo, the more details that can be included. Background will be white unless another color is requested.

3. All portraits are digital files. No physical product will be sent to you. All files are formatted so you can print and enlarge the file. You will be able to print as many copies as you’d like!

4. Your order will be emailed to you within 7-14 business days of your order.

White Doodle Pumpkin

Hi everyone! Here is a piece that I drew quite a while a go, but was waiting until closer to Thanksgiving to post it. I felt it would just fit into this week perfectly. I can’t believe there are only a couple days until Thanksgiving. I feel like November has just flown by. I can’t wait until next year so hopefully we can be more social during the holidays. I hope everyone has a socially distanced, safe and happy Thanksgiving this year. I drew this digitally using Procreate. I played around with one of the watercolor brushes and thought it would be cool to see white on a plaid background. I really like the end result. I am hoping to have this in my shops soon!

Autumn Leaf Doodle

Hey everyone! Here is a quick little doodle that I created over the past weekend. You can definitely tell that I have leaves on the brain! It has felt like a never ending battle these past few weeks of picking up leaves. This is weekend #3 of cleaning up our yard. I’m hoping it will be the last since most of the trees around us are pretty bare now. I love fall, but this is probably one of my least favorite things to do. Anyone feel the same way? I’m sure I’m not the only one. Other than that, I feel this doodle totally captures the mood and colors of fall. I just put this doodle leaf pattern on my shops on prints and products.

Navy Leaf Kaleidoscope

Hey all! Fall is in full swing here in KC. We spent a good portion of our weekend enjoying how nice it is and raking up all of the leaves. The temps have been abnormally high in the 70’s but that is not stopping all the trees from dumping their leaves on our lawn. The boys had a lot of fun raking the leaves into piles and jumping in them. Izzy our dog even had fun with the leaf piles. This is a really cool leaf kaleidoscope pattern that I created recently. What started out as a random doodle turned into a really cool pattern. I am really enjoying this color combination and how it screams fall. I just put this up in my Society6 and Redbubble shops on prints and products. Enjoy!

Happy Halloweenie

Hey everyone! I can’t believe Halloween is just a couple of days away. October has flown by so fast! Has it felt that way for anyone else? I saw on my Facebook page a couple of weeks ago the cutest Halloween yard inflatable that featured a cute dachschund and knew that I wanted to create a cute illustration featuring one too. I loved the play on words that they used for “Happy Halloweenie”. So I incorporated that into the illustration. I used Procreate to draw out this cute guy and for the lettering. I really love how it turned out!

It’s All A Bunch Of Hocus Pocus

Hi all! There is only 2 weeks until Halloween! We watched my favorite Halloween movie last night, Hocus Pocus. I know that it has blown up in popularity recently, but I have loved it since it first came out. It’s very nostalgic to me! I decided to make a lettering piece out of one of the quotes from the movie. It’s possibly one of my favorite scenes from the movie. I created this piece digitally using Procreate. I wanted the quote to be front and center by keeping the the other graphics pretty simple. I just added this piece to my Society6 and Redbubble shops on prints and products. Enjoy!

Halloween Pumpkin Bouquet

Hey everyone! I can’t believe Halloween is approaching so quickly. It feels like the October just started. To get into the spirit, I sketched out this cute drawing one morning. I decided to use watercolor to paint it in, since that is my favorite painting medium. I really like the depth of colors it gives yet always gives a unique feel to every painting. Let the countdown begin! 3 weeks until Halloween!
