Yeti Love Monster

January is almost over and that means Valentines Day is just around the corner. I have been trying to continue to create new Valentine art work. Here is another cute piece that I created this past week. I have always had a soft spot for Yetis ever since I saw Bumble in the Rudolph tv special growing up. I know it’s weird, since he was the monster trying to capture Rudolph and his friends. But I always thought he was pretty cool after he got that out of his system and was nice to everyone. This piece features a yeti holding a heart just in time for Valentines Day. I drew this out digitally using Procreate. I have this now available in my Society6 and Redbubble shops on art prints and product.

Book Fish

Today I’m posting about a watercolor painting that I made as a Christmas gift. The painting was for my husbands Aunt. She is a librarian and her last name is Fish. So it was natural to have the idea of a cute fish reading books in its fish bowl. It was really fun to come up with concept. I really enjoy making home made gifts for people, especially family. The painting is about 5×7 in size and will be perfect for her office or a little reading nook. If you need any custom art or paintings made, shoot me a message! I would love to help!

Little Lion

It’s the weekend! It’s been a long week. Everything including school, preschool, baseball, scouts and meetings has made for a busy week. Needless to say I’m exhausted! Here is a sketch that I worked on during the week to decompress. I got some new Micron pens and forgot how much I love them. They work great with markers and my watercolors. I decided to color this sweet little guy with my Prismacolor markers, which gave the bold color I was looking for. Really love how he turned out!

Girl in Leaves

Good morning everyone! It’s Labor Day weekend and I can’t wait to relax the next couple of days. Here is a sketch I posted on social media while I was working on it. I knew I wanted it to have a watercolor feel, but I wasn’t sure on the colors I was going to use. So I thought painting it digitally would be the best option. It allows me to mess up and change things unlike physically painting it. I decided to keep the colors very fall inspired, of course! I drew this because I got a little taste of fall this past week and now I’m ready for it to be here. Enjoy!

Cat With Sunnies

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was hot here in KC over the past couple of days. Just plain hot! I drew this cool cat while my boys were swimming away in the pool. I sketched her out and colored her in using the program Procreate. I really liked the way it was headed but it needed something else. I usually hide my sketch layer, but decided to turn it on over the what I had colored in already. It was exactly what this piece needed. I love the result! This cool cat will make it on to my shops soon! Be on the look out!

Alligator Loves Tulips

It’s Wednesday! That means this week is already half way done. How has everyone’s week been so far? It’s been pretty busy for our fam. It feels like the minute the weather heats up, the busier we get. It feels kind of nice considering the winter we had this year. Here is some more spring art to put some pep in your step or at least make your morning more bearable. This guy was created digitally using Procreate. I wanted him to experience spring to, since most of the time alligators are associated with summer. Who knew alligators would look so good surrounded by tulips! It’s the perfect match in my book. Enjoy!

Cute Spring Cactus

It’s spring break time! And finally the weather around here is feeling like Spring. After my dentist appointment yesterday, I was able to finally get out for a walk and I decided to draw this little guy. He is my gift to you to share my happiness about the weather. He was drawn out digitally using my Procreate App. Enjoy!

Handsome Heart

Hey everyone! It’s definitely a cold one out there today. The weather has been a little nutty and can’t make up its mind. I would love to have the 60 degree weather we had this past weekend here to stay. Here is the cutest heart I recently drew digitally with my iPad. I kinda wanted to make it a little nerdy with glasses. We embrace geeky in our family! This handsome fella is available in my shops. Just click the links in the menu above!

Sweet Sleeping Fox

We have made it to the middle of the week! Congrats everyone! The past couple days here in the Kansas City area the temperature has dropped finally. The mornings are dipping into the 60’s and it feels like just a hint of fall. You bet I’m wearing long sleeves and thinking about fall scents. I’m so ready for fall. It’s my favorite season of the year. Here is a sketch I did recently that I had fall on the brain, but still managed to make it look like summer. This cute sleeping fox is the perfect segway between seasons until I can enjoy fall.

School Bear

Hello everyone! It’s the first full week of school for mostly everyone in the Kansas City area. I thought I would do a cute sketch of a bear for back to school. I drew him out and colored him in using the Procreate app. It’s kind of a different style for me, but none the less I really like the look I achieved using a different brush.
