quarantine life

Stay Home

Hey everyone! I recently did this drawing because of the scenario that is happening around us. But then I saw that people were protesting to open everything up again….let me just say, how stupid!! I do understand the argument of people suffering from not being able to work and not being able to provide for their families. Which is unfortunate and we should live in a country that supports everyone in an event like this.  I will be the first person to say that I hate being stuck at home and not being able to do the things I enjoy most. But getting out to “buy things” and getting your “hair cut” is not a valid reason to open up the economy to risk more people getting sick and more deaths. It will just make everything spike again and we will have to just restart this process all over again. I think these people are incredibly selfish. So this drawing means even more than when I first drew it. Stay healthy, stay strong, stay safe and for heavens sake just stay home!

Good Vibes Only

Hello everyone! Today marks the beginning of the 6th week of staying at home for our family. It has definitely had its challenges, but we are getting through it one day at a time. We have a routine set up during the week for school and it has drastically helped. My kids really thrive on having some kind of schedule and normalcy. I have been also trying to set up a routine of drawing, but some times I just do not have the motivation. But I know I need to keep it up so I have a distraction from all this mess. I drew this positive saying out during the past week of quarantine. It started with a sketch in Procreate and ended with this uplifting sun. During this time, we all definitely need good vibes. Stay home, Stay healthy & Stay Safe! Enjoy!

Spring Mandala

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter! We had a great Easter with just our family of four. We dyed eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, opened basket goodies and devoured a delicious meal made by my husband. It was definitely different from previous years and I missed seeing all my family this past holiday. I can’t wait to gather with them again and celebrate. One saving grace is technology, I loved being able to Face time and Zoom with everyone. That has definitely helped during all this craziness. Here is another drawing that I did recently to help keep my mind off of things. It’s nothing too fancy, but I tried to keep the colors very true to Spring. I’m very pleased with how it turned out and it’s a beautiful spring mandala. Keep creating!

Dapper White Sheep

Hey everyone! Here is another easter themed drawing that I did within the past week during quarantine. I drew a very cute dapper white fluffy sheep. If you know me well, I love all things fluffy. But sheep really take the cake! I especially like the white sheep with cute black ears and face. I just love their contrast of black and white. I decided to make this sheep extra fluffy just to get his cuteness across. He was drawn out digitally using Procreate. I hope you all enjoy him!

Hip Hop Bunny

It’s the start of another week of quarantine for everyone. This will be week 4 for my family. It’s starting to feel like the movie Groundhog Day. It seems like the same events happen everyday. The time goes by really slow but night time comes so quickly. Like you have all the time in the world, but not enough time to get everything accomplished. I hope this whole mess will end soon. Easter is coming within the next week and I feel like I’m just not prepared and ready for it this year. I did manage to draw a couple of Easter themed quick pieces within the past week. Here is one the drawings that I managed to create during this quarantine chaos. It started with the bunny but I felt it needed some spunk and added the saying. And of course he needed a chain and sunglasses to match the attitude…lol! I hope everyone can stay positive during all this and hopefully this puts a smile on your face. Enjoy!
